In a powerful display of civic engagement, BluegreenISDN, in collaboration with YALI Akwa Ibom and other youth-led organizations, took to the streets of Uyo on September 20th to commemorate World Peace Day and World Clean Up Day. The event, which aimed to promote peace and environmental sustainability, drew participants from diverse backgrounds, all united in their quest for a cleaner, more peaceful community.

The fitness and awareness walk, which began at Uyo’s major streets and culminated at Ibom Plaza, provided a platform for citizens to reflect on the importance of maintaining peace and promoting a clean, safe, and healthy environment. Participants, armed with determination and cleaning materials, picked up plastic waste along the streets, making a tangible impact on the city’s cleanliness.
